Healthy Sweetener- Date Paste


This date paste just genius, I cant believe I didn’t think of this earlier. Now I use for everything, from sweetening morning porridge, chocolate sauces, to making muffins and cakes. I hardly ever use sugar any more, date are so much more healthier and nutritious. And it is super easy to make, just soak the dates, and blend until smooth.

The same kind of paste can be made with other dried fruit like raisins, peaches, black plums etc. This is great way to add some extra nutrition in your smoothies, porridges or muffins.

There is no specific recipe needed, soak the dates overnight or until soft. Drain the soaking water, put do not toss. Put the dates in a blender and add soaking water one tablespoon at a time until everytging starts moving easily. Blend until smooth and store in a jar with lid and keep in the fridge.
